Giuseppe D. Mattiello 86, of Leawood Drive, Cranston, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Iolanda E. (Parente) Mattiello. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Nicola and Assunta (Pastore) Mattiello. Mr. Mattiello was a construction worker for various construction companies in the Providence area for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Laborer's International Union Local #271, Providence. He was a communicant of Holy Apostles Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his devoted children, Nicola "Nick" Mattiello and his wife Lisa of Johnston, Giuseppe "Joe" Mattiello of Cranston and Rosemarie Portukalian and her husband Kenneth of Cranston. Mr. Mattiello was the cherished grandfather of Robert, Joseph and Alessandra Portukalian, Nicole, Nicholas and Michael Mattiello, Joseph, Gian and Benjamin Mattiello. He was the brother of Antonietta Izzo, Angelo Mattiello, Maria Pucino, Anna Mattiello all of Grazzanise, Italy, Paolo Mattiello of Cranston and Raffaele Mattiello of Grazzanise, Italy. Mr. Mattiello was the brother of the late John, Ralph and Tony Mattiello. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
