Gilda S. (DiPalma) Vitulli

October 5, 1924 — August 9, 2020

Gilda S. (DiPalma) Vitulli

95, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence.

For over 75 years she was the beloved wife of Salvatore J. Vitulli. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (George) DiPalma.

Gilda is survived by her loving children, Janice Cook, of Providence, and John Vitulli and his wife, Paula, of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Helene Lund and Dante DiPalma.

Enduring the hardships of growing up during the Great Depression, her vision was to build a better life for herself and her family. Possessing artistic talent, a natural business acumen and determination, Gilda founded Star Art Jewelry (later Dansal Corporation) in 1945. Hers was the spark that, together with her family,  built a company that thrived for 50 years.
She was a kind, gentle spirit who enjoyed nothing better than spending time with her family and spoiling the pets with her superb cooking. Everything she did was done with taste and class.
Gilda was a wonderful, loving mother who encouraged us to always believe in ourselves. She taught us so much.

Mom, we were so blessed to have you and Dad as parents, heartbroken that you followed him so soon to Heaven. We will love and miss you both forever.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, services will unfortunately be private. However, a memorial mass for both will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
