Gilda (Ruggieri) Narcisi

November 29, 1928 — August 11, 2021

Gilda (Ruggieri) Narcisi

of Cranston, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 11, 2021.  Born in Cranston, Gilda was the beloved wife of Joseph Narcisi and daughter of the late Francesco Ruggieri and Onorata (Mancini) Ruggieri.

Gilda’s greatest loves were her husband, children, and grandchildren. Gilda and her husband Joseph (her Joe) recently celebrated seventy years of marriage and were inseparable, frequently holding hands. Gilda adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always had a big smile and a huge ‘grandma’ hug for them. She was devoted to her family.

She loved spending time with her cherished three sisters: Mary, “Pina” and Anna, baking, cooking at the beach, playing cards, knitting for charity, and frequently enjoying ‘coffee and’.

Gilda was known for her wine biscuits, eggs biscuits, and homemade pizzas, which were requested often. She loved gardening and also crocheted stunning blankets that have been handed down and will be treasured always.

She was the heart and center of our family.  She will be greatly missed by her husband and all her children and grandchildren.

Gilda leaves behind her beloved husband, Joseph Narcisi and their children, Joseph Narcisi of Coventry, David Narcisi and his wife Diane of Scituate, James Narcisi and his wife Cathy of Cranston, and Dianne Narcisi of Cranston. She also leaves six loving grandchildren, Lisa Narcisi Stewart, Eric Narcisi, Joseph Narcisi, Michael Narcisi, Gina Narcisi and Kerri Narcisi; five cherished great grandchildren; her beloved siblings, Anna Casale of Cranston and the late Mary Casale, Peter Ruggieri, Nicholas Ruggieri and Josephine Pursche; and many loving nieces and nephews.
