85, formerly of Garden City Dr. Cranston, passed away on Monday at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Raymond B. Coffey, Jr. and Francis X. Cooney. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Anna C. (Robinson) Connor. She was employed as a Switchboard Operator/ Receptionist for the Cranston Print Works Co. for 22 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of the print works bowling league, enjoyed playing golf, and was an avid reader. She was the loving mother of Sharon (Coffey) Tedesco; and dear grandmother of Brenda Lynn Allerton and Lee Matthew Tedesco; and proud great-grandmother of Jameson Charles Tedesco. She was also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Raymond J. Connor, Anna (Connor) Carlin, Robert J. Connor and Edward Connor. She will be missed by the children of her late husband, Francis X. Cooney: Namely, Mary (Cooney) Thomson, Elizabeth Cooney and Anne (Cooney) Ryan. Family and friends may join in the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Church, Georgiaville, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
