Gerard W. Collins

GERARD W. COLLINS, 84, of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2022 at RI Hospital in Providence.  He was the beloved husband of the late Arlene H. (Pawlowski) Collins.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gerard J. and Margaret (Greene) Collins.

Gerard was an insulation installer in the construction industry and was a member of the Carpenters Union; and a 40-year member of the Tuscan Club.

He was the devoted father of Gerard J. Collins and Denise A. Lopardo and her husband Kenneth of Cranston and Michael A. Collins and his fiancé Maria Fiorillo of Warwick; cherished grandfather of Kenneth Lopardo, James Lopardo and his companion Gina Iannucci, Nicholas Lopardo and Matthew Collins; loving great-grandfather of James Nicholas Lopardo, Jr.; and dear brother of Jean Rossi, Patricia Collins and Maureen Hann, all of Cranston and Rita D’Amato of Warwick.  Gerard is also survived by his cherished nieces Lisa Rossi and Gina Graziano and several nephews, and many dear friends, especially Gregory Fleury and Roger Pennine.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, July 26th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
