GERALD "GERRY" AYRASSIAN
GERALD "GERRY" AYRASSIAN, 54, of Crandall St., Providence, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in the Jane Brown Unit at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband for 24 years of Barbara D. (Hamperian) Ayrassian. Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of Agnes (Ampagoomian) Ayrassian of Lincoln and the late Carl Ayrassian.
Gerry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Roger Williams College in 1976 and was Vice President of Freeway Liquors in Providence from 1980-2005. He was past coach of the North Providence Recreation Girls Softball Team, and an active volunteer at his church. Besides his wife and mother, he was the loving father of Amanda Ayrassian and Christina Ayrassian, both of Providence and dear brother of Robert Ayrassian of Lincoln and Gregory Ayrassian of Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, RI 02908.
