GEORGE N. ROUGAS

George N. Rougas 81, of South Pier, Road, Narragansett died Thursday, October 2, 2008. Born in Narragansett and a lifelong resident, he was a son of the late Nicholas J. and Stamateke (Sambatakos) Rougas. Mr. Rougas operated his family's restaurant in Narragansett for many years. Mr. Rougas served in the US Army during WW II. Mr. Rougas was the father of the late George N. Rougas, Jr. and was the brother of John N. Rougas, Helen Hunt, both of San Diego, CA and Mary R. Quinn of Narragansett. He was the former husband of Janet (Wright) Rougas. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
