GEORGE SANTA MARIA

George Santa Maria 79, of Regina Dr., Johnston, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of Barbara (Giachelli) Santa Maria. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Rose (Pullano) Santa Maria. Mr. Santa Maria was an Army Veteran. He was the owner-operator of S&C Amusements for the past 40 years. Mr. Santa Maria was an avid NY Yankee fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Pescatore and her husband Joseph of Johnston, and Cheryl R. Santa Maria of Cranston. He was the grandfather of Joseph and Michael Pescatore, and brother of Nicholas Santa Maria of Johnston, Anna Zeoli of Cranston, Gloria Lucy of FL and the late John, Philip and Frank Santa Maria. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church Atwood Ave. Johnston, at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
