Gaye F. (Medeiros) Petrillo

78, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 14, 2023.  Born in Newburyport, MA she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ruth (Carey) Medeiros.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jay T. Petrillo, NPFD and his wife Patricia, Steven J. Petrillo, Michael P. Petrillo and his wife Christina; cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Kaitlin, Lea and Anthony; dear siblings Joy Grunwald, Sharon Lopes, Darcy Perry, Dennis Medeiros, and the late Carol LaChance, Sheila Julio and Francis Medeiros.  She is also survived by her former husband John E. Petrillo, Jr. and many loving nieces and nephews.

Gaye worked as a TSA agent for Homeland Security for many years before retiring.  She was also a bartender at the former Eddy’s Irish Haven for many years.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and playing Keno and Bingo with her many friends from Budlong Manor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA of Care New England Foundation, Philanthropy Building 2, 171 Service Avenue, Suite 301, Warwick, RI 02886 or to the Saint Elizabeth Community, Philanthropy Department, 2364 Post Road Ste. 100, Warwick, RI 02886.
