GARY W. SAMMARCO, 68, of Hidden Lake Dr., Saunderstown, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, SC from complications following a yearlong battle with prostate cancer. He was the beloved husband for 24 years of Cristine M. (Feeney) Sammarco.  Born in Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Mary (Lombardi) Sammarco.

Gary was President of East Side Clinical Laboratories, where he dedicated most of his life and cherished each of his colleagues and employees throughout the many years. He was a 1978 graduate of URI where he worked as a disc jockey, expressing his love for music that carried on throughout his life. He was also a passionate New England Patriots fan, an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time in his South Carolina home where he spent his final days. Gary will be remembered for his cheerful spirit and bright smile.

He is survived by his wife Cristine, his children, Raymond E. Sammarco and his wife Victoria, Michael R. Sammarco and Nicole E. Sammarco all of North Kingstown; his grandchildren, Gio and Gia; and brother Richard Sammarco of St. Thomas, VI, as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday, June 4th at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark’s Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston at 11 a.m.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
