Gael G. (Kruger) Fleming

84, of Warwick, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care of RI. She was the wife of the late John Fleming. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Norton) Kruger. 

Gael was a bookkeeper first for Howe Jewelers and later at the Narragansett Bay Commission. Gael served as the past president of the North End Girls Softball League, leaving a lasting mark on the lives of young athletes. She was also a former parishioner at St. Agnes Church in Providence. Gael was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family. 

Gael is survived by her loving daughters, Irene Whitney and her husband Steven of Warwick, Stephanie Pitrone and her husband Richard of Cranston, and their father Emelio Savastano of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of Taylor Flynn (Greg), Dylan Russo (Alyssa), Daniella Pitrone and Samantha Pitrone. Adored great-grandmother of Connor and Alexander Flynn. Sister of Joanne Juechter PhD of Ossining, NY, Paul Kruger of Mims, FL, and the late James Kruger.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 14th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial is respectfully private.
