Frederick W. "Fred" Romer

60, of Jamestown, passed away on February 24, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late Robert H. and Barbara E. (Lathan) Romer.

Fred graduated from high school in Maryland.  Before his injuries he desired to join the US Air Force.  He was extremely well known on Jamestown and was known to frequent Cumberland Farms.  He was mechanically and technologically savvy.

His family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Consistent Care/Nursing Placement for the last thirty-one years which allowed Fred to remain in the community with maximum independence.

He leaves a brother, James A. Romer of West Kingston; two nieces, Ellen Guy and Colby Romer; a nephew, Shawn Guy; his Aunt Red and several cousins.  He was the brother of the late Alan Guy and Leslie Guy.

His family will have private services.  A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held this summer at Ft. Getty.
