85, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 26, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Alma (Vanner) Miller for 58 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frederick A. Miller Sr., and Anne (Daly) Miller. Mr. Miller was graduate of Bryant University, and a health facility inspector for the RI Department of Health for many years before retiring. Frederick was the president of RI Panthers Womens Ice Hockey Organization for over 30 years, past president of CLCF, on the Board of the Cranston Public Library, and he was given the key to the city of Cranston. He was a US Coast Guard veteran serving during peacetime.
Besides his wife Alma, he is survived by his loving children Kelly Miller and Ian Miller both of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Rachel Miller and adored great-grandfather of Willow Miller. Frederick was the brother of the late Thomas Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 1st, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5:00-8:00 p.m., in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory,1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cranston Public Library, Cranston Book Fund, 140 Sockanosset Cross Road, Cranston, RI 02920.
