FREDERICK "FRED" FERRANDI

58, of Bev Circle, Cranston, passed away Monday August 24, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Finelli) Ferrandi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sevino and Teresa (Guglielmetti) Ferrandi. Fred worked as a Senior Rate Analyst at the Dept. of Human Services for the State of RI for 9 years and the Lottery for 14 years. Mr. Ferrandi was a 1973 graduate of URI and a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a member and past president of the OSIA Order of Sons of Italy in America, Filippo Mazzei Lodge # 2281. Mr. Ferrandi was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston and served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Teresa's Church in Providence. Fred was a longstanding faithful NY Giants football fan who was recently recognized by Coach Coughlin and the Mara family. Fred also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and summering in Narragansett. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Heather J. Ferrandi of North Providence and three siblings, Paul, Steven, and Louise Ferrandi, all of Narragansett. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8pm.
