73, of Cranston, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Veteran Administration Medical Center, Providence.
He was the husband of Eleanor (Conforti ) Kelley. Born in Camden, New Jersey, he was a son of the late H. Raymond and Martha (Langer) Kelley.
Until his retirement, Fred was employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the U.S. Government Department of Defense at United Nuclear Corp, CT, then at Perkins Elmer, Warwick. He was a Navy Veteran and a Life member of the National Rifle Association.
Fred loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working in the yard, golfing or frequenting Bear Lake in Michigan with his brother and family, where he enjoyed sailing and fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother: Dr. Charles R. Kelley and his wife Lorraine of Indiana. He was the Brother-In-Law of Matthew and Anna Bastardi of New Jersey and Linda Munroe of Cranston, and Uncle to 6 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine Church, 3252 Post Road Warwick at 9:00am. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4:30 - 8:00pm.
