90, formally of Cranston, and most recently of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Ana S. (Silva) D’Ercole to whom he was married for 55 years until her passing in 2020.
Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Frank and Benedetta “Bessie” (Migliaccio) D’Ercole. He was the brother to Marie (D’Ercole) Satern of North Kingstown, RI and the late Flora (D’Ercole) Falcone.
He graduated from Cranston High School in 1951. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He then worked for the City of Cranston Highway Department until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Frank J. D’Ercole and his wife Mary R. D’Ercole of North Attleboro, MA. He was the loving and devoted grandfather of Dylan J. D’Ercole and the late Anne and John D’Ercole. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
His strong faith always guided him. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Cranston for most of his life. He loved spending time with family and friends. He always had kind words and uplifting wishes for all. His favorite sayings were “Keep the faith,” "This too shall pass," and “Let your smile save the world.”
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank’s funeral from NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, May 19th, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be on Wednesday, May 18th, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of America at www.bgca.org.
