FRANK CASTELLI

84, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Delfino) Castelli. Born in Providence, Frank was the son of the late Mauro and Maddelena (Romano) Castelli. Mr. Castelli was a Navy Veteran who served in WWII and was employed as a Correctional Officer at the Department of Corrections for the State of RI for 31 years before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children; Frank R. Castelli and his wife Laurie, Lisa J. Tasca and her husband Barry, all of Cranston and Joyce J. Barr and her husband Scott of Lincoln. Mr. Castelli was the grandfather of Luke L. Barr and Sofia L. Barr. Frank was the brother of the late Esther A. Reali and Rudolfo E. Castelli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, followed by Military Honors, in St. Mary's Church, Cranston on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
