Francis J. "Frank" McKenna, Jr.

88, of Cranston, RI, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Guglielmi) McKenna for 62 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francis J. and Rose (Kenney) McKenna. 

Frank was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Providence College, and Rhode Island College. He served as a Signalman in the U.S. Army Reserves. 

He was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Rhode Island, followed by a long career as a Vocational Guidance Counselor at Coventry High School and Toll Gate High School Career and Tech Center in Warwick.

Frank was the devoted father of Kathleen (McKenna) Charbonneau and husband Jeffrey of East Providence, and Daniel McKenna and wife Sherry of Johnston. Dear grandfather of Derek Charbonneau and Ciara Nallen and her husband Scott; great grandfather of Lilah Nallen and Gavin Nallen. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. The family will greet guests prior to Mass at 9:30am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston, RI 02920.
