Francis L. Basile

of North Kingstown, passed away on June 2, 2022 at South County Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Jo-Anne Basile.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Estelle M. (LaChance) Basile.

A graduate of La Salle Academy, class of 1957, he was proud of the lifelong friendships made there and had gratitude towards the Christian Brothers. Mr. Basile served in the US Army and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bryant University.  He was the Chief Financial Officer for Rau Fastener Manufacturing Company.  He was an avid golfer.  He served on the Finance Committee as well as the committee for the St. Bernard Golf Tournament.

Besides his wife he leaves his two children, Beth Anne Basile (Thomas Daggett) of North Kingstown and Peter F. Basile (Yulia G.) of Medfield, MA; his sister, Marianne Hillier of South Kingstown and three grandchildren, Juliana P. Daggett, Celeste C. Daggett and Isabella M. Basile.  He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and a beloved cousin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday from 5-7pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to La Salle Academy Alumni Fund, Class of 1957, 612 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI 02908 and St. Bernard's Church of Wickford.
