Francesca (DeSimone) Porreca

of Rollingwood Dr., Johnston, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence.  She was the beloved wife of Bruno Porreca.  Born in Cervinara, Province of Avellino, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Caterina (Pisaniello) DeSimone.

Francesca was a devoted wife, mother and nonna.  Spending time with her family brought her immense joy.  Through her unconditional love and dedication to her family, she leaves behind a legacy of a strong loving family bond that will transcend through many generations to come.

Besides her husband Bruno, she was the cherished mother of Pasqualina Mambro of North Providence, Bruno Porreca, Jr. of Cranston, Fiore Porreca and his wife Lynn, Italia Porreca and  Antonio Porreca, all of Johnston and the late Concetta Porreca-Pimental; loving grandmother of 13; loving great-grandmother of 7; and dear sister of Elena DeSimone of Ancorna, France, Luigi and Carmine DeSimone, both of Cervinara, Italy and the late Alberto, Giuseppe, Concetta, Maria, Francesco, Salvatore and Michele DeSimone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 22nd at 12 noon in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence, (seating will be limited, social distancing and masks required) or via live stream. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
