FRANCESCA MOLLO

Francesca (Lombardi) Mollo 79, formerly of Sharon St. Providence for over 50 years and most recently Daytona Ave. Narragansett where she passed away, Friday September 21, 2007 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Luciano Mollo and they have been married for the past 63 years. She was born in Pico, Italy a daughter of the late Domenico and Maria A. (Ruschetta) Lombardi. Mrs. Mollo worked for the former UNCAS Manufacturing for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Societa, S. Antonio at Holy Ghost Church in Providence. Mrs. Mollo was known for being an excellent cook. She was an inspiration for her sons to open the Italian Village Restaurant in Wakefield, where many of her Italian traditional recipes are prepared. Her legacy of cooking and Italian traditions will live through her granddaughters, whom she enjoyed teaching her recipes to. Besides her beloved husband Luciano she is survived by her loving children, Giovanni Mollo of West Palm Beach, FL, Antonio Mollo of Narragansett, Domenico Mollo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Vincenzo Mollo of North Palm Beach, FL, her devoted brother, John Lombardi of Johnston. She was also the cherished grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 8. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Tuesday at 9 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Augustine's Church Mt. Pleasant Ave. Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 4-8pm.
