87, of Cranston, passed into the Lord's loving embrace surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Mrs. T, Frances, Fran, Ma, Grandma, Little One. Many titles for a woman of simple means. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Tomaselli. Born in Providence, Frances was one of four children of the late Giuseppe and Elvira (Rossi) Mobilia. She is survived by her two siblings, brother Carmino and sister-in-law Louisa of Cranston, sister Phyllis Babits of Johnston and sister-in-law Gloria Mobilia of East Greenwich. Her brother Vincent precedes her. She met and married the one love of her life Anthony Tomaselli at a young age and married upon Anthony's return from service in 1947. Together they, Tony and Fran, celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She was the loving and devoted mother of Lucille Plante and her husband Richard, Louis Tomaselli and his fiancAC.e Donna Holland, Anthony Tomaselli and his wife Tina, and Joseph Tomaselli and his wife Donna. She was the cherished grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of seven. Of all the titles the one she held ever so dear was that of Grandma. She loved and adored each and every one of her grandchildren, Michele, William, L.J., Derek, Anthony, Tara, Michael, and Joey, great-grandchildren Jackson, William, Audrey, Lucien, Madeline, Mia, and Lillian. Her legacy continues in their lives and they will be forever enriched by her care for their lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, RI Chapter, 2915 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886-3117.
