Frances G. (Grella) Kaplan

FRANCES G. (GRELLA) KAPLAN, 94, of Brookdale Assisted Living in Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Brentwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warwick.  She was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Kaplan.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Gilda (DelMonico) Grella.

Frances was a secretary in the mental health profession for many years before retiring.

She was the devoted and cherished mother of Jodi C. Kaplan and her husband Dr. Raymond Colella of Warwick, Eileen Miccolis of Coventry, and the late David S. Kaplan; loving grandmother of Christopher Kaplan; and dear sister of Vivian Fay of South Kingstown, Carmine “Chickie” Grella of VA and the late Vincent Grella.

Her funeral will begin with Visiting Hours from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27th in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
