Frances M. Bager

91, of Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 3, 2022 at HopeHealth Hospice Center, Providence. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Toth) Bager. Frances was with the Sisters of Mercy for 29 years, and was a missionary for five of those years in British Honduras (present day Belize). She then worked as a teacher for the Diocese of Providence for over fifty years before retiring.

Frances was the sister of Kenneth Bager of Warwick, and the late Patricia Smith, James Bager, Wendell Bager, and Diane Kelley. She is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Masks are required.
