FORTUNATO GRASSO

52, of Marne Street, Johnston, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, with his family by his side.He was the loving husband of Rose Marie (DiNitto) Grasso. Born in S. Ambrogio Sul G, Italy, he was the son of Maria Civita (Manvati) Grasso of Italy and the late Nicola Grasso. Mr. Grasso was the owner of Fortunato's Hair Salon of East Providence for the past 15 years and had been a hair stylist since 1979. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by one daughter: Cristina Grasso and one son: Nicholas Grasso both of Johnston. Brother of Antonietta , Carmela, Pasquale and Angelo Grasso all of Italy. Son-in-Law of Domenico and Maria (Lupoli) DiNitto of Johnston. He also leaves his beloved hunting dogs, Tasha and Nina. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-8pm. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
