FLORENCE D. (DePETRILLO) MADONNA

Florence D. (DePetrillo) Madonna went home to our heavenly father May 14, 2008. A lifelong resident of Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Lucia (Caniglia) DePetrillo. She was the wife of the late Ralph Madonna Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Lucille Ruggieri and her husband Raymond of Walpole, MA, her sons Ralph Madonna Jr. and his wife Linda of West Warwick and Christopher Madonna of Seattle, Washington. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church Cranston. Florence was an active participant in many civic and religious organizations, and a source of inspiration and joy to all who knew her. She was a past member of the Alpine Country Club, and was active in the Daughters of Isabella, Regina Coeli Society and the Red Hats.
Besides her children she is survived by her brother Primo DePetrillo of Cranston, her four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frances Rossi, Armand and Angelo DePetrillo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church Cranston followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Massachusetts General Hospital, Melanoma Research Center, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA. 02114.
