Florence Fuoco

Florence Fuoco 81, of Johnston, passed away on December 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence on November 30, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Misiaszek) Fuoco and the late Frank Fuoco. She is survived by her brother, Frank J. Fuoco, and her niece, Kathryn “Katy” Fuoco. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Irene Fuoco.

Florence retired from her career as a social worker for the State of Rhode Island. Prior to her career with the State, she was the owner and operator of a shipping and Packaging business, Postal Services Plus in Johnston and spent a decade living in Kansas City, M.O. Florence was an animal lover recusing her pets including dogs and cats as well as breeding her beloved Yorkshire Terriers.

Florence was known for her feisty personality and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care of Florence.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation that will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 9am – 10 am in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco Church 927 Atwood Ave. Johnston at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
