Florence (Perfetto) DiDonato of Pershing Road Johnston, passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at Miriam Hospital, in Providence. She was the wife of the late Domenic DiDonato, Jr.
Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmella ( DiLullo) Perfetto. Florence was the former assistant bookkeeper at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, and was one of the founders of the Johnston Mental Health Clinic and served as their treasurer. She was an extra ordinary minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, was chairperson for many fashion shows for the American Diabetes Association, and was a volunteer teaching computer classes at the Johnston Senior Center. She was the mother of Donna M. Giudici and her husband Robert, Joseph D. DiDonato and his wife Denise and Russell A. DiDonato and his wife Heidi all of Johnston, grandmother of Joseph D. DiDonato, Jr., Lisa and Robert Giudici and Anthony and Christine DiDonato, sister of Sister Eleanor Perfetto ASCJ of Ct., Connie Hannon of Johnston, Anna Taglione of Johnston, Minnie Perfetto of Cranston, Sue Perfetto of Cranston, Ralph Perfetto of North Carolina, Alfred Perfetto of Warwick, Anthony Perfetto of Johnston, William Perfetto of Cranston, and the late Nicholas, Vincent, Louis, and Madeline Perfetto and Elizabeth Travaglio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church 1804 Atwood Ave. Johnston, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
