104, of Cranston passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021 in her home with her daughters by her side. The staff at Beacon Hospice provided excellent care. A special thank you to the caregivers who provided comfort.
Filomena was born on December 15, 1916, in Bristol, RI. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cristina (Marsilia) Vivenzio.
Filomena was the wife of the late Emery “Leo” St. Germain for 66 years. She lived in Cranston most of her life in the homes Leo built for her. Summers were spent with her family on beautiful Harbour Island, Narragansett.
She was the loving mother of the late Phyllis Crawford of Narragansett, Lorraine St. Germain of Tucson, AZ, and Doris Robert of West Warwick. She was the cherished sister of the late Domenic, Joseph, and Anthony Vivenzio, and sisters Yolanda Velleca and Matilda Martinez. She was the beloved grandmother to Catherine Chasse, Melissa Crawford, Jessica Shafer, Brian Robert, and Jeffrey Robert; great-grandmother of eight; and aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.
Filomena loved life! She had a sparkling personality, which resonated into a beautiful smile that welcomed all into her life. She was a superb cook, and prepared her favorite Italian dishes every Sunday for all to enjoy. She had a great sense of humor and loved having fun with everyone. She loved watching the Red Sox, singing, playing Scrabble, and visiting with friends and family.
Fil’s Celebration of Life and prayer service will take place at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, December 2 at 11:00. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday 9:00-11:00. Memorial contributions can be made to The Hope Center, 25 Brayton Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
