99, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Addessi. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Andreanna (Lombardi) Matrullo. Filomena was employed by the former Leviton Manufacturing Company before her retirement. She was a member of the Knightsville Senior Library Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, knitting, and reading.
She is survived by her loving children, Ann Marie Spizzirri and Elaine Gambardella, both of Warwick. Filomena was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Julie-ann, Jessica, Christopher, and Matthew, and the great-grandmother of Matthew and Benjamin. She was the sister of Joseph Matrullo, of Cranston, Matthew Matrullo of Newtown, CT, Anna Matrullo and Mary Matrullo, both of Cranston, and the late Salvatore Matrullo, Sue Palumbo, Frank Matrullo, Josephine Martellini, Etta Baker , and Angela Grande.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
