Federico Galasso

Federico Galasso, 87, of Johnston, passed away on May 10, 2023.
Federico was born on April 18, 1936 to Emanuele Galasso and Caterina Carelli Galasso in Santa Andrea, Italy, and later raised by Emanuele and Domenica Galasso.
In 1957 Federico immigrated to America and began a career at Providence Cutlery and then spent his later years side by side with family working at Emilio’s Bakery.
That same year in 1957, Federico married his soulmate, Orestina Galasso who he leaves behind. He also leaves behind his daughter Catherine Maiorano and son-in-law Cosmo, his grandson Federico and his husband Alexander, and grandson Emilio, along with Abby and their children Rylie and Emilia who will miss their “nonno-bis” dearly.
He also leaves behind his brothers Andrea and Marcello, sisters Caterina Fargnoli and Filomena Iannattone, sister-in-law Angela, and his predeceased brothers Angelo, Antonio, and Adolfo.
His visitation will be held on Monday morning from 9-11 am in the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in Holy Ghost Church, Providence.  Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
