Evelyn T. (Campanini) Simone

96, passed away of natural causes at her home on April 27, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.  She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Simone.  They had a beautiful marriage of 53 years.  She was born in Johnston to the late Philomena and Nicholas Campanini.  Loving sister of the late John Campanini and wife Cenzia, the late Nicholas Campanini and his survived wife Edith and the late Isabelle Campanini.  Evelyn was the proud, devoted mother of Michael R. Simone, wife Jan, Kenneth E. Simone, wife Suesan, Edward N. Simone and wife Michelle.
She cherished her grandchildren Danielle Simone, Dawn Corvese, Vanessa Dos Santos, Nicholas Simone and Douglas Simone.  Her great-grandchildren Gian Corvese and Valentina Dos Santos.  Evelyn was the former Johnston Deputy Town Clerk and the Johnston School Superintendent Secretary.  She later retired as a legal secretary for various Providence attorneys.  A devoted Catholic and member of St. Joseph's Parish in North Scituate.  Evelyn will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched, including her warm, loving caregivers who treated her like their own mom.  Her constant, beautiful smile and fun-loving personality will be remembered always.  Funeral will be private.  A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri-County Community Action Agency, 1126 Hartford Ave, Johnston, RI 02919.
