EVELYN T. (PAOLINO) GRUTTADAURIA

84, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph Gruttadauria, Sr. Born in Providence, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Crescenzo and Maria (Cherella) Paolino. Evelyn was employed for the University of R.I. as an Administrative Secretery in the Continuing Education Department until her retirement. She was also the President of the P.T.A at the former May Westcott School in Cranston and Treasurer of Meshanticut Vista Association. Evelyn's greatest joys included spending time with her family and friends, traveling, cooking, bowling, playing cards, sewing and spending time at the beach. She is survived by her four children; Joseph Gruttadauria, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Cranston, Paula A. Gruttadauria of Warwick, Toni Corvese of Cranston and Mariellen Ziner and her husband Jonathan of Danvers, MA. Evelyn was the cherished grandmother of Christopher, Traci, Keri, Alissa, Rachel and Nikki. She was the sister of the late Emily Mellinger, Rose Lania, Christine Paolino, Phyllis Preston, Vera Mollo and Guido Paolino. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid's Church, Plainfield Street, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston Street, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904.
