Evelyn A. Gentile

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022.

A lifelong resident of Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Decoroso and Giovanna (Teolis) Gentile.

Evelyn worked as a social worker for over twenty-five years for the State of Rhode Island before retiring.

A communicant of St. Mary Church for sixty-seven years, she was a volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and a member of the Regina Cioli Society for twenty-five years.

Her family would like to thank the staff at All American Assisted Living Rose Lane for the wonderful care they took of Evelyn.

She leaves many nieces and nephews and had a special appreciation for her two nieces, Cynthia and her husband Ray Geremia and Cathy and her husband Vinny Palazzo.  She was the sister of the late Ida Gentile, Luigina Silva, Rose DeLuca and Emma Mollis.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 9:30am  with Visitation from 9:30-10:30am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston (MASKS ARE REQUIRED) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All American Assisted Living Rose Lane, 55 Toll Gate Farm Road, Warwick, RI 02886.
