85, of Johnston, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Corvese. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Florence (Conte) Pompeii. Evelyn was a jewelry foreman for the former Taylor Brothers Jewelry Company of Providence. She enjoyed sewing, and cooking for her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Kenneth A. Corvese and his wife Ann of Cumberland, and Robert K. Corvese and his wife Mary of Warwick. Evelyn was the cherished grandmother of Kenneth A. Corvese, Jr., Jennifer A. Corvese, Matthew D. Corvese, and Kyle R. Corvese, and the great-grandmother of Sydney Ann Corvese. She was the devoted sister of Mary LaMoia of Providence, Eleanor Dolce of Greenville, Christina Phaneuf of Providence, John Pompeii of North Providence, and the late Ann LaNinfa.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence.
