Eugene K. D'Allesandro, Sr. 68, of Peeptoad Road, North Scituate, died Wednesday, February, 20, 2008, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Manera) D'Allesandro. They were married for forty-seven years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Eugene V. and Adina (Saltafossi) D'Allesandro. Mr. D'Allesandro was the owner and operator of Lakeview Farms Trucking Company of Johnston for twenty-five years before retiring in 2000. He was also the owner and operator of the Scituate Companies, Cesspool, Oil, Portable Restroom and Pool Filling and the former owner of Environmental Construction Company and Green Hill Recycling Company. Mr. D'Allesandro was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local #251, Providence and the Knights of Columbus, Hope Council #398. Besides his wife he is survived by his children; Donna M. Rescio of Johnston, Dianna S. Aguiar and her husband David of Warwick, and Eugene K. D'Allesandro, Jr. of Scituate. Mr. D'Allesandro was the grandfather of Tayla Rescio, Marissa Pignatelli, Simone, Michael and Giovanna D'Allesandro. He was the brother of Sandra D'Allesandro of Providence, Roger C. D'Allesandro of Cranston and George M. D'Allesandro and his wife Diane of Minnesota. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Sunday 4-8 p.m. Entombment will be private.
