80, of Cranston passed away on Tuesday November 9, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Ruggieri) Saccoccio. Freddy was born in Italy, the son the late Salvatore and Adelina (Palmaccio) Saccoccio. He came to the United States in 1956 where he settled in Cranston. Mr. Saccoccio was a heavy equipment operator for the City of Cranston for 40 years until his retirement and was member of the St. Mary's Feast Society, Knightsville Senior Club, Knightsville Library Association and the Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife Maria he is survived by his loving children, Anna Maria Saccoccio of Cranston, Frank Saccoccio of East Providence and Pia Saccoccio of Cranston. He was also the cherished grandfather of Jeannette Bober, Nadine Saccoccio , great grandfather of Abigail Bober, and was the brother of Renato Saccoccio of Italy, Francesco Saccoccio of Belgium, Nina Saccoccio and Marco Saccoccio both of France, and was the brother of the late Maria Saccoccio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St. Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
