Esther "Paula" J. (Giammatteo) Barclay

95, of Narragansett, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Elderwood of Scallop Shell, Wakefield. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel W. Barclay. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Antonetta (D’Adamo) Giammatteo.

Esther is survived by her loving children, Dorothy Augenstein and her late husband Helmut, Daniel Barclay and his late wife Gail, Linda Hochwarter and her husband Paul, William Barclay and his wife Debbie, and Joan Jackson and her husband Kevin; eleven cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Mario, William, Henry, Vincent and Thomas Giammatteo, Lina Dexter and Mary Verri.

Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will precede her service from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
