ESTHER A. (CASTELLI) REALI, 80, of Cranston passed away on Saturday September 27, 2008 at her home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Reali. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Mauro and Maddlene (Romano) Castelli. Esther, long held as a pioneer in the field of the female juvenile offender served as the Assistant Superintendent of the R.I. Training School for Girls for over 30 years before retiring. A hospice volunteer, a licensed social worker, and a devout catholic Esther spent her retirement years serving others in the community as well as pursuing her passion of painting and related art projects. She was the loving mother of retired R.I. State Trooper Luigi A. Reali of Sarasota, Fl. and Michele "Mike" Reali a noted pianist and musician. She was the devoted grandmother of Santini L. Reali, a law student at the University of Miami, and Diondra M. Reali a senior at Southern Methodist University, Dallas Texas. Esther was also the sister of Frank Castelli of Cranston and late Rudolph Castelli. A memorial Mass is to be held on Wednesday October 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Providence Street, W. Warwick, R.I.
