ERNESTO RICCI

Ernesto Ricci 74, of Boston Neck Road, Narragansett, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at South County Hospital, Narragansett. He was the husband of Elena (Conte) Ricci; they were married for fifty years. Born in Pietravairano, Italy, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Anna (Conte) Ricci. Mr. Ricci was a maintenance foreman for the Cranston School Department for twenty-three years before retiring in 1996. He was a barber in Pennsylvania from 1962 until moving to Rhode Island in 1970. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Cranston Council. Mr. Ricci was a volunteer for the Rhode Island Blood Center and various other organizations. Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons, Vincent Ricci of Foxboro, MA and Vittorio Ricci of Narragansett. Mr. Ricci was the grandfather of Brittany, Victor and Emme Ricci. He is also survived by two brothers, Antonio Riccio and Olindo Ricci both of Pietravairano, Italy, three sisters, Maria Pelosi of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rachela Paone of Pietravairano, Italy, Margherita Zazzarino of Brescia, Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial will be private.
