93, of Harvard St., Cranston, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late John Alviti. Born in Providence, She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Ernestina (Maccarone) Maccarone.
Esther was a sales clerk at the former Carol's Bakery on Westminster St. in Providence for 35 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Mark's Church and a daily member in the Recitation of the Holy Rosary. Esther had a love for children and knitted for Women & Infants Hospital since 1998.
She was the devoted mother of Carol A. DiBiasio of Cranston; loving grandmother of Sherry DiBiasio and Tammy DiBiasio; loving great-grandmother of Jonathan, Derrike and Isabella; and dear sister of Mario Maccarone of Cranston and the late Domenic and Anna Maccarone.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Mark, 15 Garden Ct., Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
