Ernest D. Gasbarino, Sr. 92, of Irving Street, Cranston, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. He was the husband of the late Gladys (Bedetta) Gasbarino. Born in Providence; he was a son of the late Joseph D. and Jennie (Muciaro) Gasbarino. Mr. Gasbarino was a supervisor at the former United Wire Company of Cranston for forty-four years before retiring in 1983. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran serving during WW II. Mr. Gasbarino was a member of the B.P.O.E., Cranston Lodge. He is survived by his children; Elaine Paliotte and her husband John of Johnston, Claire Morra of Cranston. Mr. Gasbarino was the father of the late Ernest D. Gasbarino Jr. He was the grandfather of Nicole J. Morra, Ernest D. Gasbarino III and the late Natalie C. Morra and the great-grandfather of Natalia. Mr. Gasbarino was the brother of Jennie Romano of Johnston, Mary Timpani of Westminster, CA and the late Raffaela Gallo, Louise Remarski and Paul Gasbarino. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
