Enrico C. Maccarone, Ret. Det. CPD,70, of Quail Hollow Rd. Cranston, passed away Tuesday June 10, 2008 at RI. Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Barbara (Forrest) Maccarone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gabriele and Mary (Machioni) Maccarone. Mr. Maccarone served on the Cranston Police Dept. for 28 years before retiring in 1994. He was a former Exhaulted Ruler with the Providence/Cranston Lodge of Elks # 14. He also enjoyed traveling, golf, skiing & softball and was an avid Yankees Fan. Besides his wife he is survived by his children Theresa Kaplan of Warwick, Vincent Maccarone and Karen DiLorenzo both of Cranston; his grandchildren Christopher Kaplan, Stephani DiLorenzo, Valerie and Julianne Maccarone; and was the brother of the late Louis Maccarone His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church Cranston St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
