Emma (Barone) Neri

94, of Lyman Ave, Johnston, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco “Frank” Neri for 23 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Antonetta (Palmieri) Barone. Mrs. Neri was a secretary for V.A. Hospital, Providence for 25 years before retiring. Emma was devoted to her catholic faith and was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. She was known for her pepper and wine biscuits and truly enjoyed baking, cooking, and crocheting.

Emma is survived by her two loving nieces, Joanne McKenna and her husband John of Cranston, and Lisa Vespia and her husband Richard of Cranston. She was the cherished great aunt of Erica and Jonathon Mckenna, and Michael and Anthony Vespia all of Cranston. Emma was the sister of the late Marie Barone, John Barone, Rose Rubino and Vincenza DeFusco.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Aug 17th, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Entombment will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
