EMILIO RAO

93, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of sixty-six years to Theresa M. (Iannone) Rao. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ignazio and Luccia (Mancone) Rao. Emilio was a tool setter for the former Brier Jewelry Manufacturing Company for thirty-five years before his retirement. He was also employed by the Cranston School department. Emilio was a US Army veteran serving during WW II.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving daughters, Lucille M. Pereschino and her husband Salvatore of West Warwick, and Deborah A. Restante of Cranston, and her late husband John A. Restante. Emilio was the cherished grandfather of Jessica Delemontex, Lauren Heaney, Beth Moretti, and Randy Pereschino, and six great-grandchildren. He was the devoted brother of Angelina Paquette of North Providence, and the late Rosina Costa, Domenica Balasco, Carmella DiSandro, Conchetta Barth, Louisa Sedach, Georgio Rao, Eva Entwistle, John Rao, and Joseph Rao.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Inurnment will be private. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted.
