Emilio Palombo

99, of North Providence, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Elmhurst Rehab, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Elvira (Palumbo) Palombo. Born in Sant Apollinare, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna (Angelosanto) Palombo. He was also the stepson of the late Rosa Palombo.

Before moving to America, Emilio served in Italy as a military police officer during WWII.  Later in life, he became a unit manager for Universal Optical for 38 years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his yard. Emilio loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for the generosity he has shown to others over the course of his life.

Emilio is survived by his loving children, Joanne Palana and her husband Anthony of North Kingstown, Josephine Galasso and her husband Glenn of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Jason (Nicole), Mark (Kayla), and Michael (Marissa). Adored great grandfather of Rocco, Bianca, Mason, Maxwell, Nicholas, and Nathan. Brother of Civita Malozzi of, the late Armando Palombo, the late Antonetta Simeone, all of Ontario, Canada.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5th, at 10:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Entombment will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
