92, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Warren Center for Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emanuele and Concetta (Cintolo) Criscione. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Iacono, DDS, who died in 1979. After her husband’s death, she received her Master’s degree in Library Science from Rhode Island College and returned to work for the Warwick School Department as a librarian. Emanuela enjoyed her career in the Warwick school system, especially her time at Gorton Junior High School, and was a much-loved drama director until her retirement. She loved her family (both immediate and extended), hosting family dinners and holidays (especially Christmas), cooking and baking, opera and watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and wrestling.
She is survived by her loving children, Deborah Lake and her husband James of Saginaw, MI, Frank P. Iacono, Jr. and his wife Julia of Perry, Georgia, David E. Iacono and his wife Nancy of Bristol, and Krista Iacono and her husband Steven Chapman of Warren, with whom she made her home in recent years; cherished grandchildren, Elisabeth and Laura, Corey and Joseph, James and Alexander; great-grandson Bennett; grand-dog Riggins, and dear siblings John Criscione, Emanuele Criscione, Joseph Criscione, Marianna Criscione and the late Yolanda Criscione, Salvatore Criscione, Marianna Criscione, Joseph Criscione, Rose Pompei, Concetta Criscione, Sadie Andreozzi and Elena Dolan.
The family would like to thank Ellen Mamaty for her loving care of our mother in the last three years of her life. Emanuela loved Ellen and she has become a member of our family. We are also very grateful for the support our mother received at the Warren Center during her extended stay and would like to thank the staff for their excellent care and compassion.
