ELVIRA M. 'ELLIE' (URSILLO) PETTERUTI

Of West Warwick, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her daughter, grandson, and her extended family of nurses, CNA's, staff and friends, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Orchard View Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Providence. Elvira was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Charlie" Petteruti. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antimo and Dorethea (Lombardi) Ursillo. Elvira along with her husband "Charlie" owned and operated General Oil Company in Cranston. Upon the death of her husband in 1966, Elvira became President of the company until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter Anne Marie Petteruti- Lavelle and her husband Michael of West Warwick. Elvira was the mother of the late Angelica Petteruti. Elvira was the cherished grandmother of Anthony G. Petteruti and his wife Crystal Young of Westerly, and the great-grandmother of Anthony E. Petteruti. She was the sister of the late Antonetta Turchetta, Mary Gentile, Lina Zampa, Estelle Cook, Angelina Ursillo, Edith Bankowski, Carmine, Edward, and Albert J. Ursillo.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Martha's Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
