ELVIRA (VINCITORIO) APICI

ELVIRA (VINCITORIO) APICI 93, of Providence, passed away Thursday July 2, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred "Pat" Apici.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Tomasso and Maria (Cincetti) Vincitorio. Mrs. Apici and her husband were the owners & operators of the What Cheer Catering Company for 50 years. Elvira was an avid reader, and enjoyed hobbies of crocheting, knitting, and solving crossword puzzles. She loved to take care of animals and was full of laughter. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church and a lifelong resident of Providence.
She was the devoted mother of Joyce DiBattista and her husband Kenneth, Valorie Apici , Gayle Fandetti and her husband David. She was the loving grandmother of Kenneth DiBattista III, Alexandra Fandetti and Andrea Fandetti, and dear sister of Lucy Langella.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
