Elma (Coda) Iannazzi 85, of Susan Circle, Johnston, where she resided for the past fifty years, died Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at Sunny View Nursing Home, Warwick after a long battle with Parkinson Disease. She was the wife of Vincent Iannazzi. They were married for sixty-five years. Born in Logan, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Seth Z. and Gemma (Giordinetti) Coda. Her family moved to Rhode Island when she was a young girl. She was educated in the Providence School System. She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1941 and the Rhode Island Academy of Cosmetology. Mrs. Iannazzi was a hairstylist for the former Beauty Nest Salon, Park Avenue, Cranston for ten years, before retiring in 1982. She was active in many charitable activities. Mrs. Iannazzi loved to travel, play golf and garden. She was active in Johnston politics, and was a member of the Johnston Women's Democratic committee. Besides her husband she is survived by her two daughters, Karen J. Ferruolo and her husband Alfred Jr. of Warwick and Lori A. Wright of Coventry. She was the grandmother of David Ferruolo, Lauren O'Rourke and Erik Marcotte and the great-grandmother of four. Mrs. Iannazzi was the sister of Rose Melino and Norma Bert both of Johnston and Sandrino Coda of Norfolk, VA and the late Enfa Manetti and Ines Catanzaro. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellaremine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
